The carnage in the car industry continues. The world's largest manufacturer of side mirrors, which employs 190 people, went bankrupt this week.
190 men must find something else to do. Their workplace, Flabeg Automotive Germany GmbH, the world's largest manufacturer of side mirrors, has gone bankrupt this week.

However, the bankruptcy petition means that the 190 employees do not have to contact the employment service right away. Their salaries are – like the operation elsewhere – secured until September this year.
The receiver of the bankruptcy estate, lawyer Volker Böhm from Schultze & Braun, states in a press release that all options are being investigated to reconstruct the company so that operations can continue.

– It is already clear that there is a great will to get a reconstruction of the company up and running, says the law firm.
The law firm also states that dialogue is already underway with several potential investors to stabilize the crisis-stricken sub-supplier to the automotive industry.
But if Flabeg Automotive goes, the company is only the latest in a whole series in the automotive industry to succumb. The car brand Fisker is on the way to bankruptcy, in fact several subsidiaries have already closed down.
