Heaps of motorists regret the purchase of faulty Volvo

In the US, Volvo Cars has raised the price of the new flagship EX90, even though the car is full of faults and shortcomings. Now dealers say customers are regretting the purchase.

The new Volvo EX90 is not just late. At the end of July, Volvo announced that it will not be able to deliver the cars with all the promised functions.

In particular, it concerns 10 important safety features that the cars will only get in the new year. So maybe. Read more about it here .

But now more American customers have lost patience with the Chinese-owned brand. A dealer tells Automotive News .

– People who make pre-orders are early adopters. They want the latest and greatest technology, says the dealer.

According to the dealer, they had to wave goodbye to 40 percent of all the orders placed for the EX90. But Volvo Cars says that it is 'only' about 5 percent of a total of 10,000 pre-orders for the car from across the US.

Although Volvo's customers should not expect to see anything for e.g. Apple CarPlay and two-way charging right away, the car brand has chosen to raise the price by 3,300 dollars in the United States. This corresponds to 22,500 Danish kroner.

In Denmark, the importer still believes that the 2025 model year should cost from DKK 812,000. However, it is uncertain whether any EX90 will come to Denmark at all in the course of next year.

Boosted has previously described how it is apparently the problem with the car's chipset from Nvidia, which has been under development since 2019, that is delaying the car. The chipset isn't finished yet, and parts of it must actually already be outdated.

The big EX90 isn't the only car giving Volvo a headache at the moment. The much smaller EX30 does the same. Here, the customers get their money back for the cars. Read more about it here .
