Claus wants to revive the Danish motorcycle Nimbus

Claus Stovlbæk Clausen bought all rights to the closed motorcycle brand Nimbus 4 years ago. All in the hope of reviving the Danish brand.

In 2020, Claus Stovlbæk Clausen bought the rights to the Danish motorcycle brand Nimbus, which otherwise closed completely in 1960.

That's what Motor magazine writes.

If everything goes according to plan, new Nimbus electric bikes will roll off the assembly line already next year. The first prototypes have already been built. While the motorcycles have to wait a little longer.

And the plan is to launch the electric bike already this autumn, so that actual production can begin. Stovlbæk Clausen informs Motor magazine that shares in the new company have been sold for DKK 12 million. And that is for 1,228 Danes.

However, the drive line must be obtained from outside. Specifically with the Italian manufacturer Energica. So the new Nimbus will not be 100 per cent Danish if production starts.

The goal is for the Nimbus bikes to travel beyond Denmark's borders. In fact, the export of Nimbus Motorcycles is a direct expectation.

Incidentally, the original Nimbus was founded in 1919 by 'Fisker og Nielsen'. The same ones who a few years before – precisely in 1906 – had founded Nilfisk.
