He abuses the last "Saab" ever

NEVS, which bought the remnants of the Saab car brand, gave up building cars. Now the man who should have bought it all is abusing the last car.

The former Chinese-owned National Electric Vehicle Sweden AB, NEVS, itself gave up on carrying on the spirit of Saab in 2023.

Before then, however, the employees, who Saab also had on the payroll before bankruptcy in 2011, managed to build several prototypes. One of them is now being abused.

Greatest hope is for Emily GT. A car of which several were actually built. But now the man behind the EV Electra, who would otherwise have built the car, is abusing the Emily GT.

Because even though the agreement between EV Electra and NEVS is torn in the middle, EV Electra still advertises the car, which they now call the GAZA GT.

"Our Emily became the GAZA GT", it says when you go to the company's website. According to Swedish Mestmotor, NEVS has tried to stop the misuse of the images. However, without success.

However, the GAZA GT will probably never materialize at EV Electra. The Lebanese company headed by Jihad Mohammad does not have access to some of the technical drawings. They are locked up at NEVS in Sweden.

NEVS got enough of the Lebanese when Jihad Mohammad made it clear that they will not build cars in Sweden at all, but instead move production to an abandoned car factory in Italy. Read more about it here.

Facing Dagens Industri, however, Jihad Mohammad rejects all the criticism. On the other hand, it is very clear that the Lebanese have not even bothered to remove the NEVS logo from what they claim is their own car.

– Nina Selander (NEVS's director, ed.) has no right to ask questions. And the car seen in the pictures is not even theirs. It is only the exterior that is largely the same. Not the same powertrain and batteries, says Jihad Mohammad to the media .

Faced with the same media, however, NEVS's Nina Selander calls the agreement with EV Electra a mistake. However, she is looking forward to the future of the Emily GT project anyway.
