In a desperate move to get more customers into the store, Chinese MG is now selling two electric cars for the price of one car, if you take the MG4.
Some indications are that the German MG importer has ordered too many cars home from the factory in China. In any case, the importer is now trying to sell two cars for the price of one car.
If you buy an MG4 in Germany no later than July 31, 2024, you will receive two units. The latter is at the dealer's/importer's expense. Almost then.
That's what Auto Bild writes.
For car number two is a leasing agreement. It runs for four years, but in return the cost for the MG customer is NOK 0. Or 0 euros depending on how you look at it. So car number two is free.

Normally, MG4 customers otherwise have to pay the Chinese brand 180 euros per month or 1,342 Danish kroner to lease such a car in Germany. In addition, you must stay within a road requirement of 5,000 kilometers per year. But MG refunds the entire amount, as long as you buy one MG4 in advance.
Specifically, it is MG's parent company, the SAIC group, that bears the expense incurred by the German importer, if someone jumps on the offer.
It's not completely free either. So car number two. For MG will have 999 euros – or 7,500 kroner – in so-called transport fees. It is not money that you get back when the car has to be handed over to the dealer after the four years of the leasing agreement.
Things aren't going too badly for MG in Germany, however. The Chinese car brand, which falsely claims that it will be 100 years old in 2024, has in the MG4 the second most popular electric car in all of Germany.
During the month of June, which is the most recent period for which sales figures have been calculated, only the Volkswagen ID.3 has seen better sales. But there must be some cars in storage around, which MG in Germany would really like to get rid of.
On the other hand, it is interesting that MG in Germany can do this sort of thing without spending money.
The SAIC group will not cooperate with the EU in connection with an anti-state aid investigation. Therefore, the group's car brands also have to pay the maximum penalty duty of 38.1 percent. Read more about it here .
