There was far too much speed when a 29-year-old man had to hand over his Tesla Model 3 to the police on Wednesday evening, who caught him in a 50-zone.
On Wednesday evening, a 29-year-old man had to hand over his Tesla Model 3 to the Copenhagen Police, who were standing by at Lautrup Kaj on Østerbro in the capital.
The man did 115 km/h in a 50 zone. More than enough for the police to charge him with reckless driving and take the car.
This is what the police circle writes on the social media X.
Earlier in the day, the South and Sonderjylland police district were also busy setting up stalls for motorists. Here, law enforcement was ready on the stretch between Jels and Øster Linnet in Sonderjylland.

Or that is to say, a photo van had been set up on the spot. A total of 104 drivers were flashed. 26 of them were cut in the choir card. Three drivers in passenger cars and a lorry driver fared worst. All four face conditional disqualifications.
Incidentally, it is not the first time that the police have taken a Tesla in connection with cases of crazy driving. A 60-year-old man apologized back in March that he was running late for a badminton appointment and that he therefore gave his Model Y extra gas in an urban area. Other Tesla Model 3 owners have also had to hand their cars over to the police. It happened i.a. for a woman because she had lent her car to her only 18-year-old son. However, it took the police a full two months to get the car back in April.
