Too expensive in Denmark – here is the world's cheapest Tesla Model 3

New discounts and subsidies from the state are needed. But nowhere else is a new Tesla as cheap as in Spain .

Even though the Danish state is once again holding taxes on brand new electric cars, and Tesla itself has lowered the price several times, the brand's cars are still too expensive in Denmark.

At least if you compare with the price level in Spain. In fact, you can't get a new Tesla Model 3 cheaper anywhere else in the world.

That's what Tesla-mag.com writes.

In fact, thanks to rebates and tax breaks, it's now even cheaper to buy a Model 3 in Spain than Tesla's CEO promised the car would be when he unveiled it in 2016.

At the time, Musk said that Tesla could push the price down to 35,000 dollars, equivalent to 32,000 euros. It just never happened. So not at Tesla itself. And so anyway.

Because in Spain, new tax discounts on electric cars – compared to Tesla's own discounts in the country – mean that the Model 3 now costs from 26,990 euros or 201,000 Danish kroner.

In comparison, the cheapest Model 3 in Denmark has just gone up by DKK 10,000 as a response to the punitive tariff the EU has just hit cars built in China with. However, the duty may only be temporary. Read more about it here .

However, the Model 3 is not the only Tesla that is cheap in Spain at the moment. Model Y, which is still Denmark's most popular car, is also being beaten down in price.

The price is due to a grant from the Spanish state of 8,210 euros, corresponding to 61,200 kroner per new electric car. The purchase of an electric car in Spain also reduces the annual charges by 15 percent in tax deductions.

However, the Spanish cannot borrow the money for a new Tesla cheaply. At least not by the car brand itself. In some countries, Tesla offers car loans with 0 percent interest. In Sweden, it is just 0.74 percent. While in Denmark it is a whopping 5.28 percent.
