Motorist braked hard – then the police took his BMW

On the night of Sunday, the police acknowledged a series of hard braking by impounding a BMW that was initially seen in a residential area in Taulov.

It was 2:56 a.m. when South East Jutland Police spotted a BMW in a residential area in Taulov on the night of Sunday. However, the person behind the wheel didn't have much desire to mess with law enforcement.

The chief of duty at South East Jutland Police, Rune Nielsen, tells TV SYD .

Instead, the driver, a man, attempted to flee. On the way, however, he braked hard and right in front of the police car. According to the warden, the maneuver was carried out deliberately.

This led to a postponement, which first ended on Funen. Specifically in the town of Middelfart. So a trip of at least 14 kilometers with the police in the mirrors.

A possible explanation for the escape attempt was given to the police when it was established that the driver of the BMW did not have a choir card.

However, he will probably not escape punishment. In any case, the police have charged him with reckless driving. Something that meant that the BMW was involved on the spot.

However, cases of carousing are far from always connected to a car chase. Some drivers stop when they are signaled to do so. On the other hand, the bad excuses then keep almost in check.

This happened, for example, to a 60-year-old man who in March had to wave goodbye to his white copy of Denmark's most popular car.

The man tried to explain away his speed by saying that he was running late for a badminton appointment. He can now instead exchange that agreement with the prospect of a sentence for insanity.

This basically means that the state confiscates the car. That he will lose his choir card for several years, and that on top of that he will have to pay a larger fine and see the inside of a prison cell for 20 days. Read more about the case here .
