Unnoticed Audi update is a huge problem

Audi has probably stopped cheating with fake exhaust pipes. But quietly, the German brand has sneaked in another design change.

Red tends to be Audi Sports' signature colour. But nursing is apparently dead at Audi.

In any case, the red color of the model designation on the tailgate of the new Audi A5 indicates neither the one nor the other from Audi Sport. There is just a root rhombus.

Something that used to indicate that the car was an S-Line, S, RS or R model. But not anymore. Now the red rhombus can be found on the standard models.

And it is actually not the first time that Audi sneaks such a design change onto the cars without telling about it. The brand did exactly the same when the latest Q8 was presented in September 2023.

Keep in mind, Audi is doing no different than BMW, which has started calling regular 2- and 3-Series something with M, even though the cars, after all, have very little to do with the M division. Think about that the next time you see an M240i or, like now, an Audi A5 in the street view.

However, Audi must have some praise. The confusing additional names such as 40 TDI and 55 TFSI, which the Germans began to equip the cars with in 2017, have disappeared. Read more about it here .

Very much speaking of updates, Volvo is in a serious bind. The Chinese brand now admits that the new EX90 is affected by so many errors that it is necessary to replace physical parts in otherwise brand new cars.

It came out in a fashion the car brand recently held with its investors. According to the Swedish media Carup, the errors will cost Volvo billions of kroner to correct. Read more about it here .
