Media: Haas has fired Kevin Magnussen again

If Kevin Magnussen wants to stay in Formula 1 after this season, he will have to find another seat. Because Haas has fired him, the media write.

Kevin Magnussen was Haas' savior in 2022, when the Dane sensationally made a comeback in Formula 1. But thank you is only a poor word, and now the team no longer has room for the Dane.

Instead, he is replaced by Esteban Ocon, who Alpine has asked to leave their garage after this season.

PlanetF1 writes that.

Ocon also already speaks warmly of Haas when he is asked about his own future in the sport. Among other things, the Frenchman believes that Haas has 'improved a lot'.

– They (Haas, ed.) have improved a lot. How they are doing at the moment is something all other teams should take note of, said Ocon in a comment in connection with the British Grand Prix at the Silverstone circuit earlier this month.

The fact that Haas may/may not have anything to use Kevin Magnussen for anymore does not necessarily mean that the Dane is finished in Formula 1. But in his latest interviews, K-Mag has had to admit that there is 'also a world outside Formula 1'.

However, Magnussen will not rule anything out either. He can then also be a candidate and in play for several vacant seats in the Formula 1 field. Both at Alpine, Sauber and Williams do not have their corres in place before 2025.

However, it is not known whether the Dane really has his future in place. Nevertheless, several media outlets write that Haas is just days away from presenting Esteban Ocon as partner to the just 19-year-old Briton Oliver Bearman.

The last time it didn't go Kevin Magnussen's way was in 2020. But here Haas seriously needed the money that K-Mag's replacement in the form of the Russian Nikita Mazepin brought into the garage.

In fact, team owner Gene Haas threatened to withdraw support from the team if no other wealthy people were found at that time. By the way, Mazepin himself was fired immediately after Russia's invasion of Ukraine.
