Former Top Gear trio Richard Hammond, James May and Jeremy Clarkson have worked together professionally for the last time. Their production company is now dissolved.
For their fans, it's probably sad news, but the former Top Gear trio insist the decision was made a long time ago.
Professionally, Richard Hammond, James May and Jeremy Clarkson no longer work together. In an interview with the Daily Mail, the three confirm that their joint production company has dissolved.
– We made the decision a long time ago. The one thing we will decide ourselves is when it is time to hold in and how we would land subsequently, says Richard Hammond.
With the three at the helm, Top Gear was one of the BBC's most profitable programmes, and so it continued at Amazon, when in 2015 the three chose to switch to the streaming service Amazon Prime and started over with The Grand Tour.

That program is now also soon in the past. At least with the three of them as hosts. In fact, only one program remains to be broadcast, because the trio officially retires.
According to unconfirmed rumours, the deal with Amazon made the three TV hosts enormously rich. The streaming service has allegedly paid them up to 160 million pounds, equivalent to one and a half billion Danish kroner, to make the Grand Tour.
The latest accounts from the production company W. Chump and Sons, which was responsible for making all Grand Tour broadcasts, show a turnover of DKK 53.3 million. But now it's over.
And yet not quite. Because at least Jeremy Clarkson continues on the screen for Amazon Prime. The TV Brit's program about life as a farmer, Clarkson's Farm, is a huge hit with viewers.
However, not everything has been smooth sailing for the host trio. In January 2022, they jointly decided to close their car media after five years on the web. Read more about it here .
