Celebrity and world boxing star George Foreman has sold his entire car collection. The explanation? He had to move.
George Foreman was a car collector. Of course he still is. But now the American celebrity has sold his entire collection and has to start over.
The explanation? He had to, as he himself expresses it in an interview with Boxingscene , move. And for one reason or another he could not bring the cars with him.
Over time, Foreman, who retired from boxing in 1997, has had a little bit of everything on four wheels. And mostly because he wanted to.

– I wanted to drive hard and bought a Ferrari Testarossa, but then I missed the new F40 model and wanted one instead, he says to Boxingscene.
As the years went by, Foreman's collection grew, and when he sold it, there were 69 cars stored in a 1,600 square meter garage.
– Sometimes I could go out at night and sit down just to look at them, he says.
One of the most interesting cars in the collection is Foreman's now former Ford GT. The car, which was built on the occasion of the car brand's 100th anniversary, was produced in just 4,038 copies.
Foreman's example is from 2005, but the 5.4-liter V8 engine with supercharger has since only traveled 1,260 kilometers. Or 66 kilometers per year for 19 years.
According to himself, the only car Foreman has kept is a Mercedes G-Class, which he still drives around at the age of 75. When the cars were sold, the boxer, who at the age of 45 won the World Championship in 1994, closed .
It is not the first time that a celebrity's car collection has been sold. In recent years, it has been, among other things, happened under somewhat more tragic circumstances.
After Fast and Furious star Paul Walker died far too soon in 2013, his huge collection of cars has thinned out. Most recently, a new owner has been tried to be found for one of the last projects Walker and his friend Roger Rodas, who died in the same accident, worked on. Read more about it here .
