Bankruptcy-threatened Fisker recalls cars – only 16 km/h

Fisker Inc., teetering on the brink of bankruptcy, must once again recall thousands of cars. This time it is wrong with the water pump, which limits the speed to 16 km/h.

In both Europe and the USA, Fisker must now recall thousands of cars. In Europe alone, this is 3,343 cars.

According to Fisker, the problem this time is that the electric water pump sends an incorrect signal to the system that controls the battery. The signal limits the Fisker cars' top speed to between 16 and 32 km/h.

That is whatFoxbusiness writes.

According to the media, Fisker must cover the cost of replacing the water pumps. At other times, Fisker has had to recall every car the brand has ever produced.

There have been and continue to be errors in everything from Fisker's software to the cars' mandrel handles. Spare parts are also a problem for the brand, which asked to have all production at the factory in Austria stopped as early as March.

Several insurance companies in the Nordics – including one in Denmark – have already announced that they do not wish to insure new cars from Fisker Inc. It is simply too risky.

Elsewhere, insurance companies pay compensation for the cars. It is, among other things, happened in the USA, where a Fisker Ocean owner received compensation for a total loss when a dent appeared in the mandrel.

Henrik Fisker himself did not want to say much about the brand's fate. Even though he has actually appeared in public after the bankruptcy protection back in June. Read more about it here.

A number of creditors remain and are fighting for the money behind a total of 161 claims against Fisker Inc. The car brand is accused of, among other things, for not having paid for the cars built by the factory Magna Steyr.

The producer is said to have been paid in shares instead. Shares which since April have been of such little value that the car brand was thrown off the stock exchange in New York. A fate which also still threatens Chinese Polestar. Read more about it here.
