For the first time ever, Tesla has lost the unofficial Swedish electric car championship – SECC. The car from Elon Musk and Co. was beaten by some Chinese.
For the first time ever since the 'Swedish electric car championship' became a reality in 2020, it is not a Tesla that has won.
That 'honour' – if you will – goes this year instead to a Chinese Nio ET5, which was shortlisted by Edvin Jacobsson and Peter Kiel Andersson.
With a time of 18 hours and 5 minutes, the partner managed to beat last year's record by six minutes. Jacobsson and Andersson must attribute their performance to the Nio's ability to change the battery and not just flash charge on the way.
This is stated by the lob organizer on its website .

Only in third place did a Tesla Model 3 Long Range from 2020 roll across the finish line. It was shortened by Niklas Zetterling with a time of 18 hours and 31 minutes.
Between the two cars, a Polestar 2 wedged itself in with a time of 18 hours and 23 minutes. The unofficial Swedish 'electric car championship', in all its simplicity, is about driving far.
Very far indeed. The participants must reach from Ystad to Haparanda as soon as possible. A quick Google search will tell you that it's a 1,626 kilometer trip. And that it takes at least 18 hours and 31 minutes in a car. But it can be done faster.
By comparison, it takes 42 hours and 55 minutes to drive across the United States in a Tesla Model S in the much more famous Cannonball Run Challenge. A trip of 4,677 kilometers from New York to Redondo Beach near Los Angeles.
