Over 13,000 belts, 872 model cars, 57,000 wallets and as many as 3 'real' cars were crushed by Ferrari, which does not like fakes, last year.
Ferrari is the brand in the automotive industry that has the absolute highest earnings per car. But that doesn't mean the car brand takes a big view of fakes.
In fact, the people from Maranello hate copycats so much that last year they went to court to have 400,000 of them destroyed.
Everything from copycats to fakes of Ferrari's cars caused the car brand to disappear in the course of 2023. Ferrari himself says so in a post on his social media.
With a simple graphic, the brand draws attention to the fact that they have destroyed 100,000 pieces of clothing. 60,903 fake watches, over 17,000 pairs of shoes and a whopping 30,161 perfumes. Just to name some of the fakes.

When Ferrari doesn't get crushed replicas, the real thing is going strong in Maranello. The street cars alone are drone-good business.
Last year, the factory earned almost DKK 1 million per car. Mind you, last year Ferrari sold less than 14,000 cars. That's only slightly more cars than Tesla can build in a single day.
