Celebrity has sold her muscle car – ended in a bidding war

Actors and celebrity Mikael Persbrandt, who i.a. has appeared in several Danish films, has sold the Oldsmobile he bought for himself as a 40th birthday present.

There was competition for the highest bid when actor and Swedish celebrity Mikael Persbrandt put his Oldsmobile 442 Coupé up for sale.

The auction that took place at Collecting Cars has just ended. And it is no small change that the new owner has had to part with for the car that Persbrandt bought for himself when he turned 40.

It is now 20 years ago. But the old American seems to still be in excellent condition.

– The car has been rebuilt in the USA. It still has all its papers. And it is actually in better condition than when it left the factory, claims Mikael Persbrandt, according to Biltokig.

And that can be seen in the interest. After just a few days, the price was over the first half million. That is, Swedish kroner. It ended up at 95,600 euros. This corresponds to 713,000 Danish kroner.

Where the car with its 7.5-liter V8 engine is now going, history does not report anything. But we can just mention that the Oldsmobile is one of only 3,100 cars with the "W30" package from the factory in 1970.

The W30 package gave the car an aluminum intake, a different cylinder head, different camshafts and a different carburettor. Incidentally, it is not the first time that there has been a dispute over a car with a celebrity as the previous owner.

One of the more anonymous celebrities sold his entire collection of white Porsches at the end of 2023. A total of 56 cars changed hands at once. Read more about the cars here .

Something else that can also be expensive is the drivers' fashion with law enforcement. After a horrific fatal accident on the Hillerod motorway this weekend, the Council for Safe Traffic is reaching out strongly for one particular type of motorist.

People who organize illegal street races are completely indifferent to both traffic campaigns and well-intentioned advice. The only thing those drivers understand is when the police take their cars. Read more about it here .
