Volkswagen forbids employees from owning a Porsche

Porsche, which has been a one hundred percent integral part of the Volkswagen group since 2012, is now banned as a company car for 200 employees.

200 employees at Volkswagen are no longer allowed to own a Porsche. In any case, they must not choose a Porsche as a company car.

The 200 employees hold positions in the upper echelons of Volkswagen, and while some of them have accepted the decision, others have chosen to go to court.

This is written by Bild .

The bosses want the court's word that Volkswagen cannot forbid them from driving around in a Porsche. And if you look at how court orders have gone against the VW group lately, the grumpy bosses are holding the long end.

So maybe. It is not very many months ago that Audi had to reverse a decision to take the company cars from its top sellers in Germany.

The car brand, which is also part of the Volkswagen group, otherwise defended itself by saying that the sellers could easily manage without cars. Read more about it here.

Some of Volkswagen's managers are left waiting to see if they can, at least within the company, be able to steer Porsche. One of the employees exempted from the ban is Oliver Blume.

But that would also be strange, since in addition to the top position as group director, he is also the person in charge of Porsche on a day-to-day basis.

At Volkswagen, a spokeswoman confirms that, due to a cost focus, the company 'is no longer possible to order a Porsche as a company car'.

The issue of company cars is not the only lawsuit plaguing Volkswagen/Porsche at the moment. The car group is also trying to get around otherwise promised bonuses to certain employees. Whether you can do this kind of thing must therefore also be decided by a judge.
