Famous trio resigns – makes last Grand Tour program

It will not be more car programs. At least not with Jeremy Clarkson, James May and Richard Hammond as a trio in front of the camera.

The famous trio of Jeremy Clarkson, James May and Richard Hammond is finished. Or that is to say, almost.

Because these days the friends are on tour with a camera crew. A trip where the absolute last Grand Tour program with them as hosts will be recorded.

It is the official X profile behind Clarkson's Farm, of which Jeremy Clarkson is 'alone', that has shared the photo of the three. All with the simple text: Filming the new GT. (is recording the new Grand Tour program, ed.)

Much more information is not available. But we know it will be the last Grand Tour program for some time.

For Amazon, which provides a platform for the program, is only now investigating how it can be relaunched without Clarkson, May and Hammond. In any case, a production company has won the right to make a bid. Read more about it here.

No official premiere date has yet been set for the final Grand Tour program with the original host trio. But James May doesn't really care about that now.

– I'm not allowed to say what date it will be released. So I won't say it's September. I can say what I want now.

– We have been doing it for almost 22 years – much longer than we thought we would. I thought when I started in 2003 or 2004 that this was a bit of a joke. Maybe it will last for a few years. And here we are gray and withered and hanging, he says in a comment to the BBC program The Today Podcast .
