Is Kevin Magnussen finished? Comes with news about Formula 1

Danish Kevin Magnussen is without a contract after this Formula 1 season. At least officially. However, the 31-year-old Dane is in the running for several seats.

The Formula 1 cabal is not quite as closed a country as it might seem. At least when you look from the outside at the choir cabal that is about to go up. Kevin Magnussen has not lost hope.

At Alpine, where Magnussen was in the Renault days, there is at least one vacant seat. And Audi has not yet announced who Nico Hulkenberg will share the garage with.

At Haas, nothing has been announced about the lineup ahead of next season either. Williams has also not named the team's second baseman in 2025. However, Logan Sargent is expected to retire.

So there are options for K-Mag. Something the Danish Formula 1 choir is well aware of. He himself also believes that he is in the running for a few seats.

This is written by Motorsportweek .

– I am actively part of it. I'm in the running for a couple of the seats. It's very open at the moment and I think that's fine.

– I think that no matter what, there are good chances that the established choirs will probably get a seat.

However, Magnussen also talks about the fact that there are opportunities outside of Formula 1. Something he also wants to at least explore. Maybe instead of always being part of the midfield.

– I think I'm also starting to think that if I ended my motorsport career right after having briefly Formula 1 in the middle field, maybe it will feel empty in some areas.

– I see some of the lobs, Le Mans, Indy 500, and I see the guys who win it. They look damn happy, you know. And I believe, fortunately, that there is also a fantastic world outside of Formula 1.

– I've been part of it a few times when I wasn't in Formula 1, and it's a fantastic life. It drags a bit, if I do say so myself.
