This is how the new Mercedes 190E with V6 engine sounds

It is nowhere near as bad as some might have feared. In any case, it's far from any muted V6s that HWA has put in the new 190E.

Do you remember the 190E 2.5-16 Evo II? Of course you can. Now the German tuner HWA AG, whose founder actually also founded AMG, has launched a modern take on the car.

33 years after production stopped at the Mercedes factory in Sindelfingen, Germany, all the glory is reborn.

It goes without saying that we are not talking about the original 190E 2.5-16 Evo II, as it would be both a sin and a shame to cut those cars up. Conversely, the new cars are built on real, four-door versions of the regular 190s.

Simply with everything removed from the body to be refitted as new and improved parts. In fact, all plate parts are now carbon fiber. The only HWA retainer from the original car is the windshield wiper.

100 cars are to be built, and according to Boosted's information, at least one of them will come to Denmark. However, all are equipped with a 3-liter V6 engine and twin turbos.

HWA is not yet much to say anything more concrete about the engine's capabilities. But they would like to say that the output is somewhere between 450 and 500 horsepower. The sound? Yes, it's not completely stupid either.

Among other things, because HWA has developed a completely new exhaust system for the V6, which actually makes it sound like something close to a classic racing car. The new EVO II made its debut on the tarmac in Switzerland. Very fitting next to an all original Mercedes 190E 2.5-16 Evo II.
