The new Hyundai Inster is a cool little electric car

The Hyundai INSTER comes in 2025 and offers spaciousness and a long range in a compact SUV – with a special design

At the beginning of 2025, Hyundai will launch a new electric minicar called INSTER, which combines compact design with roominess and reasonable range, writes Hyundai.

This city-friendly SUV measures just 3,825 mm in length, yet manages to accommodate four people and has a range of up to 355 km.

The Hyundai INSTER was presented to the world at the 'Busan International Mobility Show' and is expected to arrive in Denmark in early 2025.

The car is equipped with a number of standard features, including a 10.25” digital instrumentation, a 10.25” touchscreen with navigation and a wireless charging dock. These functions are built into a compact center console, which contributes to a greater feeling of spaciousness in the cabin.

All seats, including the driver's seat, can be folded down to increase flexibility, and the 280-litre boot provides space for suitcases or larger bags.

INSTER is a further development of the Hyundai CASPER, a petrol model from South Korea. However, the INSTER is longer, wider and has a longer wheelbase, which gives it more space and stability.

The new model comes with two different battery sizes. The standard version has a 42 kWh battery that provides a range of up to 300 km.

The Long-Range version is equipped with a 49 kWh battery that can cover up to 355 km on a single charge. Both versions have a single engine which produces 71.4 kW and 84.5 kW respectively, which corresponds to 97 hp and 115 hp.

Charging the batteries can be done with an 11 kW AC charger. For the 42 kWh battery, it takes about four hours to charge from 10-100%, while the 49 kWh battery takes about four hours and 35 minutes.

With a DC fast charger with a capacity of 120 kW or higher, it takes approximately 30 minutes to charge from 10-80% under optimal conditions, regardless of battery size.

The new Hyundai INSTER represents a step forward for city cars with its combination of compact size, spacious interior and impressive range.
