Car brands recall electric cars due to three spectacles

The Volkswagen group has to launch a major recall of several car brands' models because they are based on the same technology, where three screws can cause brake problems.

The Volkswagen group must now recall several models from several car brands because these are based on the same technology. And therefore built in the same way.

VW has become aware that a fault may have crept in when the hydraulic pump for the ABS system was attached.

The screws securing the pump may not be tight enough. If the pump breaks loose, it can mean that the ABS system is put out of action. And that the owners are left with cars that brake worse than usual.

That's what We Bilägare writes.

In the worst case, the failure can mean that brake fluid starts to leak from the cars and the brakes eventually stop working. In that case, the cars could only be braked by using the electronic handbrake.

The models Volkswagen believes may be affected by the error are: Volkswagen ID.3, ID.4, ID.5 and ID.7. All the cars were built during April this year.

The Audi Q4 e-tron may also be affected. This concerns cars that were built between March and April this year. Recalls are not necessarily the fault of the car manufacturers. Audi can sign off on that.

The brand's North American importer had to recall almost 100,000 cars back in December last year because the owners are too stupid. Read more about it here .

On the other side of the Atlantic, Tesla has to launch a recall of all Cybertrucks the brand has ever built.

The motor for the wiper arm can literally kill several of the cars other motors. In addition, it has been shown that there are problems with the cars' bed.
