Italian police Lamborghini stopped… by the police

It created so much confusion with the Police in Sweden that a Lamborghini Urus recently drove around with flashing lights on the roof and 'polizia' on the side.

Not everyone was equally well informed that Italian police would come to Stockholm this week.

Among those who apparently knew nothing were the police in Stockholm. In any case, the Swedish police became so suspicious at the sight of the Lamborghini that the colleagues were pulled to the side.

Aftonbladet writes that.

But inside the wild police car, everything was in perfect order. What the police did not know was that their colleagues were short all the way to Stockholm to take part in a charity event for children with disabilities.

– In Södertälje, it was a police patrol that stopped the Italian police car to check whether it was real or not, says Rebecca Landberg, spokesperson for the Stockholm Police, to Aftonbladet .

The Italian officers have to go a long way with Lamborghini. The final destination is the North Cape.

However, the Swedish officers are not the only ones who see something new once in a while. Ordinary Swedish motorists also have to get used to some completely new light from law enforcement. Read more about it here .

The Lamborghini that the Swedish police stopped is not any 'normal' Urus. The Performante edition, donated by Lamborghini to the Italian police, has an insane 666 horsepower and a four-liter V8 engine.

In the past, the luckiest of Italy's traffic police cards have both the Lamborghini Gallardo and the successor Huracan. Both models are equipped with the 5.2-liter V10 engine.

An engine which is now no longer found in Lamborghini's model range. The replacement instead gets 8 cylinders, which the Italians, on the other hand, claim are made especially for them. Read more about it here .

At home, the police stop less exciting cars. But some of them, like the Lamborghini, actually have blinkers on.

This applied, for example, to a broken Dacia, which the owner tried to disturb other traffic by equipping the car with emergency flashing lights. Something that is, however, strictly punishable. Read more about that case here .
