On Sundays, electric car owners fall into the same trap

You have to think about it. At least if you drive around Norway in an electric car on Sundays. Here it is extremely expensive to charge.

The summer's solo holiday can easily go north, for example to Norway.

Although FDM has just pointed out that the diesel car is actually cheaper than the electric car when it goes south. Well, not very much, but the diesel car is cheaper after all.

Regardless of where you drive this summer, you as a motorist must be aware of the price. This applies especially to those in electric cars. Outside the country's borders, the so-called roaming prices, known from mobile use abroad, have to be taken into account.

But that's not all. A survey from Norske Motor shows that lightning charging on the road is outrageously expensive. That is, from a public charging station.

And the price per kWh is especially fond of running away on Sundays. Because while the current at home from the socket must be counted in hours per kW, we are talking about kroner at lightning charging stations. On Sundays, it hurts extra to leave.

According to Motor, the price approaches 7 Norwegian kroner – that corresponds to 4.6 Danish kroner – per kWh on the last days of the week at the public lightning chargers.

The media writes that as electric car owners you should therefore only stop by a lightning charger on Sundays if the car really needs the power.

In many cases, electricity is as expensive as diesel, according to another Norwegian study.

– With the current charging price, it is just as expensive to charge an electric car as it is to refuel a diesel car, say the people behind it. Read more about it here .
