New Bugatti Tourbilion shut down Google for several hours

Bugatti's new model Tourbillon confused Google to such an extent because the name is inspired by clockwork that already has millions of search results.

Bugatti has probably considered the name for months, maybe years, because it was decided that Chiron's successor should be called Tourbillon.

There is just one small problem. The first lot of news about the new Bugatti Tourbillon shut down Google's algorithms.

The fault is due to the similarity with the tourbillion part found especially in Swiss watches. A Tourbillon, which is actually a ring, makes the second hand rotate extremely precisely. The ring sits in the watch to correct for inaccuracies when the watch is moved around.

This is not the case in the new Bugatti Tourbillon, but the new model name still caused the car brand to lose the battle with, among other things, Google and several other search engines.

The news from Bugatti simply disappeared in other search results that have much more to do with watches than actual cars.

Carscoops writes that.

It is actually not the first time that Bugatti has sent a watch to the streets. In fact, we already got an unexpected taste of the Tourbillon name in 2020, when the Jacob & Co. watch. The Bugatti Chiron Tourbillon was released.

The watch was and is a tribute to the 8-liter W16 engine developed by Volkswagen. The 280,000 dollar expensive watch, which corresponds to almost 2 million kroner, shows parts of a small part of the W16 engine under a layer of crystal.

And the parts move. In fact, everything from the turbos to the pistons and the crankshaft itself is moving. The built-in 'tank gauge' shows how much battery is left on the watch. A single charge lasts for 60 hours. Read more about the watch here .
