There isn't much to rave about. In kroner and øre, the diesel car is still the cheapest to drive on summer holiday in, says FDM.
The interest organization FDM has calculated a bit on that. However, it is not because the result is different from last time.

There isn't much to rave about. The diesel car is cheaper. Good enough, 'only' DKK 144 compared to what FDM believes an electric car can be charged for on the same trip. But it is cheaper.
The holiday trip, which is almost 3,000 kilometers long, will cost DKK 2,571 in a petrol car. If you then assume that it can only do 15 km/l. In a diesel car, the same trip costs 1,903 in fuel, for the electric car with 5 kilometers per kWh costs up to DKK 2,047.

Something else is the price of 'fuel' when the electric car is used in everyday life. Here, FDM believes that, however, it has a collaboration with i.a. charging provider Clever that the electric car is the cheapest alternative.
One thing about the summer holiday trip, however, applies regardless of what the car is doing. Namely the speed. At 130 km/h, the cars use 20 to 25 percent more fuel than if the speed is kept to 110 km/h, reads the interest organization's assessment .
If you choose to take an electric car on summer holiday out of the country, there is something you need to be aware of. Something that neither diesel nor petrol cars are affected by.
And that's roaming. In other words, the price you pay to connect to a different charging network than you necessarily have a subscription to. Although the EU has decided to put a ceiling on the roaming price itself, this kind of thing has not completely disappeared. Read more about it here .
