These electric car owners have the most range anxiety

Car owners who have had a short electric car for 4 years or more are far less worried about the range than drivers who are 'inexperienced' electric car owners.

Newcomers to electric cars are far more concerned about the range of the cars than people who have had electric cars for a little longer.

This is shown by a survey that the Norwegian electric car association, Norsk Elbilforening, is behind.

– It becomes easier when you get to know the car and have fast-charged a few times, says the association's general secretary Christina Bu.

Just over one in five – 17 percent – answered in the survey that they experience range anxiety in an electric car. And that it actually happens often.

This is despite the fact that the number of lightning chargers in public spaces has expanded significantly in recent years. – It is surprising that we do not see more changes in the experience of range anxiety in line with the development of fast chargers, says Christina Bu, secretary general of the electric car association.

Among drivers who have had a short electric car for four years or more, 13 percent will admit that they still experience range anxiety.

Another thing is that electricity is actually not cheap at all in Norway. At least not according to the Norwegian response to FDM, NAF. Lightning charging an electric car is now as expensive as filling up with diesel, it is said in the north. Read more about it here.

On the other hand, the International Energy Council believes that petrol will become 'super cheap' within just a few years. However, it is not with the good will of the oil companies, but rather an expression that demand will only fall during the period.
