Xpeng G6 lands third in Norwegian test of electric cars

The XPENG G6 delivers strong performance in this year's NAF El Prix test and impresses with range and charging times.

This week, this year's El Prix summer test was organized by the Norwegian Automobile Association (NAF) and their partners. The test, which is the world's largest of its kind, had 26 participating electric cars, including the new XPENG G6.

The XPENG G6 performed extremely well in demanding conditions, which were both cold and rainy. The car covered a total of 530.7 kilometers, which is close to the official WLTP range of 550 kilometers.

This result secured the XPENG G6 a solid third place in terms of deviation from the stated range.

XPENG focuses on minimizing charging time for their owners, providing increased flexibility and efficiency on long trips. During the charging test, the G6 showed its strength thanks to its 800-volt technology.

The car's 87.5 kWh battery was charged from 10-80% in under 20 minutes, which is in line with official specifications. The charging speed reached 264 kW, which is close to the record of 319 kW set by the XPENG G9 in last year's test.

Xpeng states: "For XPENG, it has always been a cardinal point that as an XPENG owner, you must spend as little time at the charging station as possible. This provides flexibility and makes long journeys efficient."

The XPENG G6's performance in this year's El Prix test cements the car's position as one of the best on the market when it comes to the combination of price, range and charging speed.
