There will be no more PSE models on the street, not even if Peugeot actually considered it, says the car brand's director Linda Jackson.
Peugeot is no longer a brand that makes faster cars.
In fact, the French brand has decided to shut down its entire performance division PSE, Peugeot Sport Engineered .
The brand's director Linda Jackson says so in an interview with Autocar .
The decision comes after Peugeot has only built one PSE model – namely the 508 PSE. A car that costs up to DKK 700,000 in Denmark. In fact, the estate model 508 SW PSE costs up to DKK 690,990.

But that car – or the sedan model for that matter – will not get a successor. It all comes down to priorities, as Linda Jackson explains it.
– In the Stellantis Group, 40 billion euros are being invested in electrification, and Peugeot is part of that.
– By the end of this decade, we will have an electric version of every car in the entire model range, and then you have to prioritize, says the CEO.
Peugeot is not the only car brand that is busy putting plans in the grave at the moment. In fact, the car brands are almost in a row to change their minds. Among other things, because the electrification of the car world is not going quite as fast as the industry had predicted.
Most recently, Ford has announced that it will no longer only sell electric cars to Europeans by 2030 at the latest. And at Mercedes, you no longer know when the electric car can compete with the petrol and diesel alternatives. Read more about it here.
