Lamborghini's new car with a V8 engine gets over 900 horsepower

Lamborghini Temerario is probably the name of the Huracan's successor. The car fires two cylinders, but still gets much wilder on the road.

Lamborghini is building its last street car with a V10 engine this year. But there is no reason to cry too much over spilled milk.

At least not if you ask the brand's managing director Stephan Winkelmann. Because the Huracan replacement gets a huge amount of horsepower, even if it throws away two cylinders.

Winkelmann confirms this on his LinkedIn profile .

In an announcement, the 59-year-old German chief executive writes that the engine – which Lamborghini says is a 4-litre V8 developed especially for them – gets a total of three electric motors. But there is more.

Due to the hybrid assistance, the new 'baby-lambo', when it sees the light of day, will be able to boast a total performance on the other side of 900 horsepower.

– It is finally time to tell you about the Lamborghini 634 (internal factory code, ed.), the hybrid successor to the Huracán, which will join our model program of plug-in hybrids.

– Designed from scratch in Sant'Agata, this all-new model will be equipped with a twin-turbo V8 engine, combined with a hybrid system with three electric motors. It is optimized for a maximum performance on the other side of 900 horsepower, writes the director.

Other than that, Stephan Winkelmann didn't have much to say about Lamborghini's latest car. But with the new information, it is clear that it is right behind the top model Revuelto.

That car has 1,015 horsepower from a non-turbo 6.5-liter V12 engine. On the other hand, it benefits from hybrid assistance. But enough about the top model.

For the Temerario, if it gets that name, it will far surpass its nearest competitor in the form of the Ferrari 296 GTB. The car from Maranello must be 'enjoyed' with a V6 engine and 830 horsepower.
