Jacob Nortoft has a short go-kart against Max Verstappen but put his career on the shelf at just 19 years old. Now he becomes the highest placed Dane in international motorsport ever.
Dane Jacob Nortoft has got a job that no Dane has had before.
And not only that. The former go-kart driver, who himself put his career on the shelf at the age of 19, becomes the highest-placed Dane ever in the international motorsport organization FIA.
That is written by BT .
Jacob Nortoft will be Head of Karting in the association from 17 June 2024. The top position places him further up the FIA's internal ranking than any other countryman has ever been for him.

But as he expresses it to BT, he is happy to be able to strengthen Danish motorsport more globally with the new top job.
Jacob Nortoft tells the newspaper that, due to his family situation, he stays at home in Denmark, even though the FIA is based in Geneva, Switzerland.
However, the chief post is not the only thing that is appealing to Danes in the world of motorsport at the moment. Alba Hurup Larsen has not even turned 18 yet. Still, Ferrari sees a huge light in the very young woman. Read more about why here .
A little further in the ranks of motorsport, Frederik Vesti, who was on the verge of winning Formula 2 in 2023, believes that there is still a place for him in Formula 1.
– My eyes are on Formula 1. My focus is on Formula 1, but I don't have a place, and I need to continue working towards a place, says the 22-year-old Dane in a new interview.
