VIDEO: Rare Chevrolet Corvette found abandoned in Honsegård

Cars are not exactly what you expect to find in a horse farm. Nevertheless, this rare Corvette appeared in just such a place.

Eggs and then obviously the hons.

This is what you would expect to find in a honse farm. But a car? It rarely belongs to the order of the day anyway.

Yet this is exactly what the people behind the YouTube channel DontbeWily claim to have found in the American city of Elba in the state of Alabama.

How and not least why the car ended up there is unknown. But of course it's not just any Chevrolet Corvette convertible either.

According to the information in the video, the car is one of only 9,670 Corvettes that were produced at St. Louis Truck Assembly plant in 1959. The plant opened in 1920, and Corvette production moved to Kentucky in 1981. Just a few years later, the plant closed completely in 1986.

When the factory in St. Louis built the most cars, it was 560 cars a day, enough to employ 35,000 men. But back to the Corvette. It is in really bad condition.

Conversely, there is hope for the car. Because the 4.6-liter V8 engine, which from the factory officially had 290 horsepower, is still located between the front wheels. However, the Corvette is only one of several cars that have found their way into the barn over time.

Around it are cars like the Chevy Chevelle Malibu, a Pontiac LeMans and a Buick Skylark. What will happen to the cars, or possibly has already happened, is unclear.

But it is not the first time that such a barn find has appeared. In fact, here at the Boosted editorial office, we have gradually piled up so many charging finds that we have dedicated a whole category just to the often very neglected cars. You will find all the stories here .
