One of the world's smallest electric cars is driving around Denmark

One of the world's smallest electric cars is now coming to Europe. Microlino is just one and a half meters wide. In the first instance, however, it avoids Denmark.

It goes to Sweden, but immediately bypasses Denmark.

But that does not change the fact that one of the world's smallest electric cars is coming to Europe. In fact, it's already here. Microlino is Swiss, but built in Turin, Italy.

Most of all, it looks like a modern interpretation of the BMW Isetta, weighs just 513 kilos and has a top speed of 90 km/h. It takes 5 seconds to reach the first 50 km/h.

On one charge, it can cover 228 kilometers, says the manufacturer. The small one and a half meter wide and 2.5 meter long car is entered by opening the entire front of the car, which is also the car's only door.

The company Micro Mobility Systems is behind the car, which can be charged via an ordinary socket. Something that, on the other hand, takes 4 hours. According to Swedish media, Microlino already lands in Sweden in June.

But it won't exactly be cheap. 261,000 Swedish kroner. That's the price. In Danish currency, this corresponds to DKK 170,000. For that kind of money, don't expect to have room for much more than yourself, a passenger and a handbag or two in the microscopic boot.

Another microscopic car that may actually find its way to Denmark is the BYD Seagull. It is not here yet, and the Danish importer has not wanted to confirm any plans to sell it to the Danes.

But if that happens, it will be another electric car. With a length of 3.78 meters and a width of 1.72 meters, the Seagull is somewhat larger than the Microlino.
