Over 1,200 Xpeng G9 have been sold in Denmark – now the model is being updated

The super popular XPENG G9 launches a series of upgrades that improve the user experience with new features and better performance.

The XPENG G9 has gained great popularity, and with 1,204 cars delivered to Danish customers, it has quickly gained a solid foothold on the market.

From the beginning, XPENG has actively collected customer feedback and implemented continuous software updates via OTA technology to improve the car's functions. Now it's time to introduce some significant hardware upgrades.

The new upgrades include wireless connection to Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, new interior colours, double wireless charging of mobile phones with carbon and increased maximum payload by 100 kg. These changes are not a full facelift, but rather carefully selected improvements that make everyday life easier for XPENG G9 owners. The first updated models will be delivered to Danish customers in September 2024.

With the new XPENG G9 update, wireless smartphone integration via Apple CarPlay and Android Auto becomes standard. However, this requires upgraded hardware, so current owners of the G9 should not expect to be able to get these features on their cars.

The XPENG G9 also gets a new interior option with a light gray color called Diamond Grey, and black skies in the cabin become standard. The seat ventilation for the driver and front passenger now works both in the seat cushion and in the backrest.

Wireless phone charging has received a significant upgrade. From being able to charge one phone with 15W, the new G9 can charge two phones at the same time with an output of 50W.

Another significant improvement is the increased maximum payload, which has increased by 100 kg to now 550 kg. This is an important upgrade for many customers.

Externally, the updated XPENG G9 will look similar to the current model and retain its 300kW fast charging thanks to 800V technology. Customers can still choose to add the Premium comfort & sound package, which includes Nappa leather seats, massage in all four seats, additional electrically adjustable rear seats and Dynaudio sound system.

XPENG G9 offers one of the market's longest warranties of 7 years or 160,000 km. Prices for the updated model are slightly adjusted:

  • XPENG G9 Standard Range: DKK 499,900.
  • XPENG G9 Long Range: DKK 579,900.
  • XPENG G9 Performance: DKK 629,900.

The premium comfort & sound package can still be added for DKK 47,984.

XPENG Denmark has confirmed that all current and future customers who have placed an order with XPENG Motors Denmark will not be affected by the upcoming price increase. This ensures that customers get their cars at the agreed price, regardless of any duty increases.
