Here is Denmark's stupidest 50-zone – drivers don't understand it

On the night of Friday, a motorist lost both his car and the corre card in a 50-zone, many motorists find it extremely difficult to understand.

Nordskovvej in Silkeborg is a 50 zone, which many motorists find more than difficult to understand. Since 2021, anything over 50 km/h has been prohibited for the sake of bats.

Yes, you read that right. Bat. So animals in the air. On Friday evening, the ban meant that a local man lost both his car and his choir card.

This is written by TV2 Østjylland .

The man came roaring along at 108 km/h, which is well above the limit of insane speed. Two other drivers clocked 80 and 87 km/h respectively, they now have some hefty stalls to look forward to.

The official explanation, however, is that the so-called dam bats, which are active in the area from 15 March to 1 November, must be taken care of. Therefore, the 50 zone or not a 50 zone all year round.

But motorists still find it difficult to see the point of it all. To TV2 Østjylland, several motorists only shake their heads at the speed limit, which is called nonsense.

Nevertheless, the speed limit will be enforced, as is clear from the police's new action. It also works in Sonderjylland. But it is for a slightly different reason.

These days, the motor festival DHB, Denmark's Fastest Car, is taking place. And even though the police say that it is well under control, law enforcement still arms itself with several photo vans. Read more about it here .
