The Toyota GR Yaris costs almost DKK 800,000 in Denmark

It is so expensive that it is doubtful whether Toyota will even sell any here at home. Nevertheless, the importer is now opening for sales.

The new Toyoya GR Yaris is offered in two equipment variants with the option of either manual transmission or a newly developed sporty automatic transmission.

One variant, called GR Yaris SPORT, is equipped with functions previously only available in the top model GR Yaris Circuit. These features are now standard in the GR Yaris SPORT, appealing and pampering the most discerning car enthusiasts.

The GR Yaris SPORT includes as standard the advanced GR FOUR four-wheel drive, a carbon fiber roof as well as doors, bonnet and tailgate in aluminium.

In addition, 18" alloy wheels with Michelin tires, GR Circuit chassis and suspension, Torson Limited Slip differential, root lacquered Brembo brake calipers, intercooler with water spray and four-point seat belts are standard equipment, which together significantly improves the driving experience.

This is stated by the Danish importer in a press release .

The interior of the GR Yaris has been designed with a focus on comfort without compromising on the sharp driving characteristics.

The cabin offers a 12.3" digital information display in front of the driver, an 8" multimedia touchscreen with cloud-based navigation and reversing camera, 2-zone climate control, adaptive cruise control and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. In addition, the latest generation of Toyota's safety package, Toyota Safety Sense 3.0, is also included.

Additional standard equipment includes GR-specific features such as root painted GR brake calipers, GR carbon grill, GR sports leather steering wheel with heat, GR aluminum pedals, GR sports seats in Alcantara fabric and GR sports suspension. The price for the standard edition is DKK 744,990.

– The new GR Yaris is designed to deliver an unrivaled driving experience and satisfy the most demanding car enthusiasts," says a representative from Toyota.

However, it is not only in Denmark that the new Yaris is furiously expensive. The same is the case in France. In fact, because of the French rules, it is even more expensive. Read more about it here .
