Woman loses her choir card – was stopped on the pavement

A woman has paid a very high price because she couldn't bear to scrape the windows of her car free of ice and snow last year.

It was lucky that no one was hurt.

That's what the Swedish police say about the carousel that has now cost a woman the choir ticket. The police stopped her on the sidewalk.

But the fact that she was in a place where cars are not allowed was only one of her problems. Because she drove around without having a proper view through the car's windows.

This is what police spokesperson Caroline Karlsson tells P4 Sjuhärad after a woman was stopped on a Sunday in November.

– She miscalculated so badly that it was only luck that no one came to anything, explains Caroline Karlsson.

However, it is not only the Swedish police who take the choir card from people who do not know how to choir according to the applicable rules and conditions. In Norway, a man in a Danish-registered passenger car had the right of way revoked because he had the wrong tires on. Read more about it here.

And here at home, a Volkswagen Up! owner narrowly escaped with his driver's license intact when he was stopped by the South East Jutland Police. See more about that car right here .

Driving around in a car that you can barely see out of is very dangerous. For the same reason, the punishment is also particularly severe.

The rule is therefore that it can cost the choir card if the police consider the case to be particularly serious. The fine for a tinted – or otherwise covered windscreen – is basically DKK 1,000.
