Woman fined for stealing car with manual transmission

Do you remember how to drive a car with a manual transmission? A woman couldn't do that, and therefore she/the car drove wrong.

Earlier this month, a woman shorted a pickup truck into a fire hydrant on a public road. All because she did not master the art of driving a car with a manual transmission.

According to ABC News , the police in the American city of Boulder announced this on the social media site X, which is located in the state of Colorado.

Shortly before the accident, the woman had actually been released in connection with another case of car theft, and she could not resist the temptation when she came near the pickup.

On 3 May, the woman was released in connection with the second car theft case the day before. However, immediately after the police let her go, she chose to steal another car. Or at least make the attempt.

And then perhaps it wasn't so much the woman as the car that went wrong. Because after the woman gave up stealing the car, which she found with someone in the ignition, she left the car in neutral.

This meant that the car rolled itself directly into a fire hydrant. The woman was later arrested and charged in the case. She now has to go to court again. Court proceedings will be held on 30 May. Here she will probably be asked to explain why she keeps stealing cars. Or make the attempt.

She is also charged with careless crossing, crossing without a crossing card, theft and for not having reported the accident with the car.

The woman is not the only one who has gone wrong with manual transmission over the years. In fact, this sort of thing works surprisingly well as anti-theft. The thieves simply give up because their skills behind the wheel are not enough for anything and more than automatic transmission. Just read along here .
