Joshua Lee has been renting cars from Hertz for a long time. Recently he was forced to pay for the gas. So for a Tesla Model 3.
Joshua Lee has rented cars from Hertz so many times that the rental company will let him choose cars from the so-called President's Circle.
But it is doubtful whether there will be any next time at all. Recently, Joshua Lee was forced to pay for a full tank of gas for the Tesla Model 3 he had rented from Hertz.
At first the company refused to give in. All with reference to the fact that it is now the company's rules that the cars must be returned with a full tank of petrol.

From Joshua Lee's documentation from the rental, it even appears that he returned the Tesla with exactly the same amount of current in the battery that he picked up the car with in the first place.
So Hertz can't blame him for that. Even so, he had to pay 277 dollars – equivalent to 1,917 kroner – for the petrol the car has neither used nor can use.
Communication with Hertz has since taken place over the phone, but without any resolution. It was only when The Drive described the case that the rental company apparently had second thoughts.
On May 9, Hertz's customer service chose to apologize and refund the erroneously charged amount for the non-existent gasoline.
Speaking of Hertz, electric cars are hardly management's favorite part of the fleet. In any case, the company has decided to get rid of a further number of electric cars. This happens after the company announced in January 2024 that it wants to get rid of 20,000 electric cars. Read more about it here .
