Norlys and MAN Truck & Bus are teaming up to get more electric trucks on Danish roads, they write in a press release:
Norlys and MAN Truck & Bus have entered into a collaboration that will make the transition from diesel-powered trucks to electric coaches more flexible for hauliers.
The collaboration was announced at the Port of Aarhus, where Soren Nybroe from MAN Truck & Bus and Ellen Trolle from Norlys were photographed in front of Norlys' charging stations for heavy transport.
Although there are more electric trucks on Danish roads today, they still make up only one percent of the country's total number of trucks. In order to promote the green transition, it is crucial that heavy transport also switches to electricity.
That is why Norlys and MAN Truck & Bus Denmark have decided to join forces to help hauliers switch to electric trucks in an easy and problem-free way.

An important prerequisite for hauliers' choice of electric trucks is the availability of a solid charging network, both throughout the country and at their own depots and logistics centers. Soren Nybroe, Head of Truck Sales at MAN Truck & Bus Denmark, explains: "We have established a 360° e-Mobility consultancy in connection with the launch of our MAN eTruck, where we offer hauliers total discounts on purchase, financing, service and charging ."
The purpose of the collaboration with Norlys is to ensure that hauliers have access to the charging facilities they need when they invest in electric trucks.
Ellen Trolle, director of Norlys' charging station business, says: "We are building a nationwide charging network for heavy transport and would like to talk to the hauliers about where it will be most practical to place our public charging points." This focus on dialogue with hauliers ensures that Norlys' infrastructure solutions best meet the industry's needs.
MAN Truck & Bus Denmark has already noticed a positive response from hauliers to the new advice offer.
Peter Lyhr Sorensen, Key Account Manager at MAN Truck & Bus Denmark, says: "The collaboration with Norlys gives us an extra dimension in our advice, as we can now give our customers the opportunity to participate in MAN's charging concept and offer them advice from Norlys on , how they can best discharge their charging needs both at their own facilities and around the country."
This collaboration between Norlys and MAN Truck & Bus is an important step towards electrifying heavy transport and promoting green mobility in Denmark. It is expected to make it easier for hauliers to take the step towards electric operation and thus contribute to a more sustainable future.
Both companies write this in a joint press release.
