Fake driver gets fined as much as NOK 93,000

South Jutland Police have charged a 34-year-old man with pretending to be a type of driver, which he is in no way. It now costs him DKK 93,000 in the stall.

On 19 March 2024, the traffic department at the South Jutland Police received a notification from the Swedish Transport Agency regarding possible violations of the taxi act at Billund Airport.

A 34-year-old man who lives in North Jutland had created a Facebook profile from which he offered a ride to and from Billund Airport.

On Thursday 25 April 2024, the traffic police carried out an inspection of one of the man's large passenger cars just as it was leaving Billund Airport. The check showed that the passenger had ordered and paid for the car via the Facebook ad.

This is what the police circle writes in a press release .

The 34-year-old "carrier" was charged with having been responsible for commercial passenger transport being carried out, even though there was no permit for this, and for the car being sold without a car company office. In addition, the car was neither registered nor approved for taxi traffic.

It was not the "trucker" himself who shorted the car that was stopped. The driver in question turned out not to have the necessary training.

The total penalty claim against the "haulman" is DKK 93,000 plus a smaller penalty for the driver. The South East Jutland Police will then transfer the case to SKAT.
