Cards full on lobe wheels – married couples both lose their choir cards

A married couple was stopped by the police who saw them driving around drunk on electric wheels in a Swedish city, now they both lose their driving license.

A Swedish couple have both lost their choir cards after the police in the town of Mariestad stopped them in a drunken state on two electric scooters.

This is written by the newspaper Mariestads .

When the police take the choir card from both husband and wife, it is because they were both stopped on lobe wheels with an output of 250 watts. Something the Swedes equate with the effect on a moped.

In addition to being denied the privilege, both were also sentenced to prison. The woman escaped with 18,000 Swedish kroner to the treasury, while the man must hand over a whopping 28,000 kroner.

Usually, more is needed, because on an electric lobe wheel you lose your license, even if, as in the case of the married couple, you are well inebriated. It will usually require a traffic accident where the police are called.

The fact that the choir card can smoke if you are drunk driving around on an electric lobe wheel is not an isolated Swedish phenomenon. The same is the case in Germany.

In our neighbors to the south in Germany, for example, the police took the driving license from as many as 254 motorists who drove around drunk on wheels in connection with Oktoberfest in Munich in 2019.

At home, too, there is a risk of hefty fines when the blood alcohol level is above the permitted blood alcohol level of 0.5. This also applies if the hands are on the handlebars of an electric lobe wheel.
