Now the importers are stepping away from the crisis-stricken car brand

The German car brand Elaris, which has cars manufactured in China, is now losing a number of importers who do not want to know anything about the collaboration.

It was with great arm movements that the German car brand Elaris AG with Chinese connections announced a collaboration with the workshop chain Euromaster.

But the collaboration, which began in 2021, is now already at an end. It happened on April 20, 2024. So just 11 days ago.

This is written by Automobilwoche .

The listed car brand has promised to sell cars "for hundreds of millions of euros". But now several partners and dealers are turning away from the company.

According to Automobilwoche, the German car dealer chain Emil Frey, among others, has clearly refused to have anything to do with Elaris.

Conversely, the car brand's founder Lars Stevenson denies that there is anything wrong. In a press release, he also calls it Elaris' own decision to throw Euromaster out the door.

Instead, an agreement should have been made with "a large international partner". However, Elaris will not say more about who that partner is.

However, a quick Google search reveals that Elaris has retracted a press release about a collaboration with car dealer Emil Frey. In any case, it just says '404 Not Found' on the website where the press release has been.

However, the text can still be found on the press portal EQS-news. Here it says that "Emil Frey Gruppen takes over responsibility for spare parts for Elaris". But according to the dealer, it has nothing to do with it.

Elaris advertises several cars on its website. Both cars and vans. The cars are actually just license-produced from the Chinese Dorcen Motor.
