Seer convicted of accepting bribes

A 36-year-old Swedish inspector has been sentenced for – against a bribe – approving cars from all over Sweden in connection with periodic inspection.

It is certainly not only in Denmark that periodic sightings are tampered with and judgments are passed for it.

This sort of thing also happens in Sweden. And in October last year, a 36-year-old psychic was convicted of having accepted bribes to inspect cars in at least seven cases.

That's what We Bilägare writes.

According to the prosecution, the cars came from all over the country to the examination hall in Uppsala, where the 36-year-old worked, to be seen.

In that connection, five of the seer's acquaintances/friends have been convicted of being behind the bribe. The judge's sentence has been suspended.

To Vi Bilägare, the people behind the inspection hall in which the fraud took place tell that it was a self-check that put an end to the 36-year-old employee.

It was also the inspection hall's police report on the man that ultimately got him convicted of accepting a bribe.

Here at home, a majority of parties in Christiansborg agreed last year to tighten the rules for car inspections. Among other things, the strictures are to prevent the so-called 'SMS-syn', which DR's consumer program Kontant revealed.

This means, among other things, that photos must be taken of everyone who is produced for viewing. The new measures should have entered into force on 31 March.

But shortly before the deadline, the Norwegian Transport Agency, which is the highest responsible authority in the area, announced that it was not yet ready. Read more about it here .
