Chinese diesel engine has set revolutionary world record

The internal combustion engine is generally bad at utilizing energy. But now some Chinese have managed to reach 53.09 percent efficiency.

The Chinese have not reinvented the diesel engine. But Weichai Power has succeeded in making it more efficient than ever before.

The company took the engine to the so-called World Congress of Internal Combustion Engines in the Chinese city of Tianjin.

That's what Auto Bild writes.

And here the Chinese demonstrated an efficiency of 53.09 percent. No other diesel engine has been so efficient. Even the German TÃœV SÃœD has to admit that.

In general, it is said that the conventional diesel engine uses about 43 percent of the energy. That is, how much energy you get back from refueling the car. In this case with diesel.

TÃœV SÃœD's North Asian department acknowledges the Chinese's result. And a little more. For the Germans expect that this way of building diesel engines will be able to contribute to a more sustainable development of the internal combustion engine.

Weichai Power itself says that its technology will be able to save 31 million tons of diesel per year. And that alone in China. Conversely, it will save the atmosphere 97 million tonnes of CO2.

The Chinese say that in addition to being usable in passenger cars, the engine will also be able to be used in industry. Among other things. for agricultural and contractor machinery, ships, power plants.
