Mini has just issued a press release where the upcoming Mini Aceman is presented. It is on the roads until October. Read more below.
The new MINI Aceman lies between the all-new MINI Cooper and MINI Countryman in terms of size and thus completes the electric MINI family. The MINI Aceman is available exclusively with an electric drivetrain. At launch this fall, two models will be available:
- MINI Aceman E : 184 hp, range 298-310 km, consumption 14.1-14.7 kWh/100 km, 0-100 km/h in 7.9 sec., top speed 160 km/h, battery size 42.5 kWh , AC charging 11 kW, DC charging 75 kW.
- MINI Aceman SE : 218 hp, range 382-406 km, consumption 13.9-14.8 kWh/100 km, 0-100 km/h in 7.1 sec., top speed 170 km/h, battery size 54.2 kWh , AC charging 11 kW, DC charging 95 kW.
When the MINI navigation is activated, the high-voltage battery will reach the ideal temperature for the most efficient charging. This reduces charging time, especially in cold outside temperatures. Charging for both models takes place from 10 to 80 percent in just under 30 minutes.
If the charging time on the road is to be used optimally, it can be done with the new AirConsole app, which offers in-car gaming for all passengers using the user's smartphone.
Creative use of space – reinterpreted
Ever since Sir Alec Issigonis drew the first lines for a MINI in the late 1950s, the concept has always been about compact exterior dimensions and smart use of space in the cabin. The new MINI Aceman is no exception. The car is a modern interpretation of the classic MINI and with its length of just over four meters provides space for five passengers. The MINI Aceman's all-electric powertrain offers a new experience of the classic MINI go-kart feeling.
The sporty crossover measures 4.07 meters in length, 1.75 meters in width and 1.50 meters in height and thus places itself in terms of size between the MINI Cooper and the MINI Countryman.
The streamlined front, the short overhangs and the functional "two-box design" emphasize MINI's characteristic of "Clever Use of Space".
The luggage compartment capacity is 300 liters and can be expanded up to 1,005 liters as needed via the foldable 60:40 rear seat backrest.
The new Trailer Assistant helps when maneuvering a trailer and advises on the necessary steering wheel angle when reversing with the trailer. If the parking space is extra narrow, the optional Parking Assistant Pro allows you to park the car using a smartphone.
New design style – "Charismatic Simplicity"
The entire new MINI family has a clear, reduced design, which gives the various models special and modern characteristics.
This is particularly evident in the cabin, which is reminiscent of the original MINIs with the central OLED display with a diameter of 24 cm. With the MINI Operating System 9, all choir functions can be operated intuitively by pressing or speaking. The MINI Interaction Unit is operated in the same way as a smartphone.
The surface of the instrument panel is covered with a knitted material, where the lower color shines through the upper and provides sharp accentuated color contrasts. The maintenance-friendly structure that extends to the mandrel cover is made from recycled polyester.
The front contains a new interpretation of the typical design elements such as the expressive headlights and the characteristic grill, which extends all the way down to the bumper. The angled LED headlights have three different settings, which underlines the eye-catching look.
The specially designed wheel arches are unique to the MINI Aceman and together with the matt black bodywork, which continues into the door area, they give an extra sporty look.
The aerodynamic rear window, the roof spoiler and the vertical Matrix taillights with three distinctive graphics all emphasize the wide and athletic rear end.
The MINI Aceman is available in four different trims: Essential, Classic, Favored and JCW. The aerodynamic wheels are available in sizes from 17 to 19 inches.
Hey MINI
For the first time, voice control is available in a MINI, which is activated by simply saying "Hey MINI". The voice control is visualized on the OLED display with animation of graphic elements, typography and an avatar. The navigation system, telephone, entertainment and selected car functions are controlled simply using the voice control (English).

MINI Aceman has a Danish launch in October. Prices will be available later this year.
