Tesla Model 3 Performance has arrived: 460 horses and Track Mode

The long-awaited Tesla Model 3 Performance is now officially on the shelves and ready to order. Below you get all the details directly from Tesla.

Model 3 was designed with a focus on production efficiency, which led to a reduction in complexity and variations between different models. However, the Model 3 was still fast and fun to drive thanks to its low center of gravity and dynamic chassis.

With a few hardware upgrades, it became possible to create an accessible, fun and versatile sports car that could be enjoyed both on straights and in corners. This marked the birth of the Model 3 Performance.

Six years after the first deliveries of the Model 3, the latest production and technical capabilities have allowed Tesla to design, develop and build a more differentiated performance model. Based on improvements from the latest Model 3, the new Model 3 Performance offers a more focused driving experience with unique driving features and design elements.

This latest and most powerful Model 3 has a performance powertrain with over 460 horsepower, which provides acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.1 seconds and a top speed of 262 km/h.

That power is transferred to the road via 20-inch forged aluminum wheels and new 20-inch performance summer tires. The staggered set-up improves cornering response, increases grip and delivers better control both on the road and on the track.

Tesla is also introducing a new adaptive damping technology that is controlled by the company's internal software and integrated into the Tesla Vehicle Dynamics Controller (VDC). This system provides optimal performance without compromising on everyday functionality.

The chassis has been upgraded with increased structural rigidity, updated springs, stabilizer bars and bushings, resulting in a more performance-oriented response.

The new brakes include high-performance brake pads and root brake calipers, which increase braking performance and thermal resistance. In addition, the latest generation of Track Mode gives the driver the opportunity to customize steering, stability and regenerative braking for optimal control and performance.

Model 3 Performance also stands out with its more aggressive design, which includes new front and rear fascias, improved aerodynamics and integrated carbon channels that work with the rear diffuser and carbon fiber spoiler to optimize stability at high speeds.

Inside, there are new sports seats with improved side cushions and side bolsters, which can also be heated and ventilated. Carbon fiber trim with a unique weave monster helps Model 3 Performance stand out from other Model 3 variants.

Prices for the Model 3 Performance start at DKK 440,090 with expected deliveries in the second quarter. For the regular Model 3, prices start at DKK 326,090 or DKK 2,515 per month. Look here!
