20-year-old Axel owns the number plate "Fetaost"

It started as a joke. But now Axel Östlund has eaten a packet of feta a day for 10 years, and has bought the license plate "Fetaost" for his Ford Fiesta.

20-year-old Axel Östlund likes cheese. And then maybe more than usual.

The young Ford Fiesta owner tells Sveriges Radio that he eats 'a packet of feta cheese' a day. And not only that, he has taken his love for the Greek specialty cheese to new heights.

– It is something that reflects me, and I get a lot of positive feedback. Many people wave and say hello on the street, says Axel Östlund to the media.

The 20-year-old Axel talks about the license plate of his Ford Fiesta, which quite – perhaps very slightly – surprisingly spells out the word 'feta cheese'.

And the Fiesta owner has no intention of slowing down. At least not when it comes to feta cheese. On the contrary, more and more of his life is surrounded by the Greek cheese now. He even goes by the name 'Feta Cheeseman' among family and friends.

– It's just getting more and more. It's for meals or just for snacks now, he says to Sveriges Radio.

Feta cheese can also seem very innocent. But similar to the rules here at home, that is not all that motorists can write on their number plates. Not to mention sticking them on.

The number plates, which at least here at home are the property of the state, must not contain words. That is why the Motor Authority also rejects a sea of number plates every year. Read more about it here .
