Now Ford wants to teach Mustang owners not to go wrong

Mustang owners have a habit of behaving badly behind the wheel. Now Ford is creating a chore course that will hopefully weed out some of the worst of them.

Inside, it's tempting to just step into the bottom of a car with a big and roaring V8 engine.

But it can easily go wrong. And a sea of Mustang owners – and unfortunate pedestrians – can sign on to that.

But now Ford has come up with a solution that would like to weed out the worst Mustang drivers. In connection with the Mustang's 60th anniversary, Ford says that they are opening a whole 'choir school' at Charlotte Motor Speedway in North Carolina.

Here, Mustang owners can come and get a 'better understanding' of the capabilities of their cars. Ford calls the initiative the 'Mustang Experience Center'. And next to the race track, the car brand is opening a showroom with a special selection of Mustang models.

Those interested in other things must also be able to hold their weddings here, writes Ford in a press release. But you probably have to be a hardcore Mustang fan to propose to your better half.

The facility itself in North Carolina is something and more than just an oval track for NASCAR. Ford says there's both a 3.5-kilometre 'decided race track' and tarmac for quarter-mile lobs.

That being said, one of the first trips at the Ford facility was cut short by a very young kid on a really sad background. Read more about it here .
