16-year-old's moped seized – was hit by an 85-year-old driver

On Thursday, an 85-year-old woman rammed her car into a moped at an intersection in Koge. Soon after, the police took the moped.

On Thursday afternoon, an 85-year-old woman blew on the unconditional right-of-way in Valnoddevej/Stevnsvej in Koge.

Immediately after, she hit a moped that came barreling onto the cycle path, on which was sitting a mere 16-year-old boy from the local area. This is stated by the Central and West Zealand Police in the dog report .

In the same incident, the law enforcement agency states that the 16-year-old was slightly injured and that he was attended to in an ambulance.

At the same time, the police decided to seize the moped, as it was assessed that the moped was illegal. Whether there is any support in this must now be investigated more closely.

It is not clear from the police report whether the 85-year-old woman can expect to be prosecuted for the lack of respect for the traffic law. But the Central and West Zealand Police state that the 16-year-old boy will be caught again later.

It is far from the first time that the police have attacked very young people on mopeds. Last year in October, East Jutland Police in collaboration with a school in the town of Morke attacked a number of students on mopeds. Read more about it here .
